She currently serves as Chair of the Siriraj Pediatric Diabetes Care Team, Head of the Siriraj Diabetes Center, roles she has held for more than a decade, Chair of the Certified Diabetes Educator Program at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, and Secretariat of the Thai Type 1 Diabetes and Diabetes Diagnosed Before Age 30 Years Registry, Care and Network (T1DDAR CN).

Professor Dr. Supawadee has devoted her career to improving the diagnosis, management, and long‑term outcomes of children and adolescents with diabetes. She has played a pivotal role in developing structured diabetes education programs, multidisciplinary care models, and diabetes camps aimed at strengthening self‑management skills and family engagement.

She is actively involved in regional and international diabetes initiatives and has served on committees of the Asia Pacific Pediatric Endocrine Society (APPES) and the International Diabetes Federation Western Pacific Region. Under her leadership, the Siriraj Diabetes Center achieved international recognition as an International Diabetes Federation (IDF) Center of Excellence, a status held since 2017.

Dr. Sueziani Binte Zainudin is a Senior Consultant Endocrinologist & Director, Ascensus Health Specialist Centre – Ascensus Wellness with extensive experience in comprehensive diabetes and endocrine care. She previously served as Senior Consultant in Endocrinology at Sengkang General Hospital, where she helped pioneer integrated diabetes services.

Her clinical and research interests focus on integrated diabetes care, diabetes education, diabetes and Ramadan, and cardiometabolic risk management. She developed the internationally recognised DEAR (Diabetes Education and Medication Adjustment in Ramadan) programme and contributed to the IDF-DAR 2021 international guidelines.

An active researcher and educator, Dr. Sueziani has published widely in leading journals and remains committed to delivering evidence-based, culturally sensitive, and patient-centred diabetes care.

After completing his Arab Board of Internal Medicine and Saudi Board in Internal Medicine, in 1998, Dr. Al Sifri joined the Fellowship programme of Endocrinology and Metabolism at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre,Riyadh, and then Dr. Al Sifri pursued further research fellowships in 2001, at Western Ontario University, Canada and Fellowship of American College of Endocrinology Minnesota, USA. Finally, Dr. Al Ssifri has been awarded Fellowship of Royal College of Physician, UK.

Although Dr. Al Sifri has an active presence in committees within the Al Hada Armed Forces Hospital, he is also involved in many committees outside of the hospital. At present, this includes chairing the executive committee of the Saudi Society for Endocrinology & Metabolism, Taif and Vice-President of Saudi Diabetes Society. Dr. Al Sifri has been invited and delivered more than 200 lectures, presentations, and workshops nationally and internationally. He has written or contributed to over 100 research papers and has peer-reviewed for three international journals in the field of diabetes and endocrinology. Over the years, Dr. Al Sifri has received several honors and awards, including the International Donald Etzwiler Award for diabetes awareness and research in 2010.

Dr. Calliari is a Professor of Pediatric Endocrinology at Santa Casa de São Paulo School of Medical Sciences, and Coordinator of the Pediatric Diabetes Outpatient Clinic at Santa Casa de Misericordia of Sao Paulo. He has a master’s degree in Clinical Endocrinology at UNIFESP.

He is the founder and coordinator of the medical student's Diabetes League of FCMSCSP, and since 1990, he has been involved in the training of medical residents of Pediatric Endocrinology.

His major line of research is centered on childhood and adolescent diabetes, including a broad range of topics: the etiopathogenesis of type 1 diabetes, monogenic diabetes, cystic fibrosis–related diabetes and diabetes technology. He participated of national studies, as the BrazDiab1SG, the largest multicenter study on type 1 diabetes in Brazil, and the Brazilian MODY Network.

He is involved with the Brazilian Diabetes Society, where he is currently Advisor to the President, and Vice-President elect. He has been a member of the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) since 2002 and was member of the Advisory Council (2015–2019), Executive Board (2018–2022). Currently, he Coordinator of the Special Interest Group in Diabetes in Schools, and the President-elect for the 2026 ISPAD Annual Conference in Rio de Janeiro.

Professor Liming Chen serves as the president of Chu Hsien-I Memorial Hospital & Tianjin Institute of Endocrinology of Tianjin Medical University and engaged in research, teaching, and clinical treatment. Prof. Chen focused on includes the mechanism of diabetes and its chronic complications. She is an Executive Board Member of IDF-WPR and the Chair-Elect of CDS.

Professor Sandro Gentile is a Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli", Naples, Italy. Professor Gentile specializes in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases, Gastroenterology, and Aerospace Medicine. Prof. Gentile served as Past President of the Italian Diabetes Association (AMD) and the AMD Research Foundation. They are an Emeritus Member of the AMD Arbitrators and Past President of Nefrocenter Research. Currently, they serve as President of Nyx Research.

Prof. Gentile has authored 365 publications in international journals with 14,638 citations and has written chapters of monographs and educational materials in the fields of metabolism and nutrition, and diabetes. Prof. Gentile has presented more than 100 oral presentations and posters at national and international meetings, organized several Diabetology conferences, and has served as scientific director for various educational courses on diabetes and metabolic diseases.

Prof. Gentile is a principal investigator of national and international Randomized Clinical Trials (RCT) and serves as a referee for multiple scientific journals. They are on the editorial boards of Diabetes Therapy, Acta Diabetologica, Diabetes Research & Clinical Practice, Diabetology, and Advances in Therapy. They currently coordinate the AMD-OSDI Study Group on National Injective Techniques.

Dr. Lixin Guo is a Doctor of Medicine, Professor, and Chief Physician who serves as the Chief Expert of the Endocrinology Department at Beijing Hospital, National Geriatric Center. Dr. Guo is also a Doctoral Supervisor at both Peking University and Peking Union Medical College, in addition to serving as a Postdoctoral Advisor. Dr. Guo currently holds the position of Chairman of the Chinese Diabetes Society.

Dr. Guo's scientific expertise focuses on the pathogenesis and intervention of diabetic vascular disease, the role of biological rhythms in abnormal glucose and lipid metabolism, diabetes related comorbidities, and endocrine and metabolic disorders in the elderly.

Dr. Lutz Heinemann studied Process Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences, Düsseldorf, Germany, receiving his degree in 1976, and went on to study Biology at the University of Düsseldorf, qualifying as a Biologist in 1982. He worked 3 years as Assistant Professor in the Neurophysiology Department at Düsseldorf University. He went on to work with Professor M. Berger at the Clinic for Nutrition and Metabolism from 1985 to 1999. In 1999, he founded the Profil Institut für Stoffwechselforschung in Neuss, Germany. He was the CEO until 2009.

He is a member of national and international diabetes associations. He also sits on the Scientific Advisory Boards of various pharmaceutical and diagnostics companies. From 2011 until 2024 he was the Managing Editor of the Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology. His scientific research is focused on insulin pharmacology and diabetes technology. Dr. Sanjay Kalra trained at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. Dr. Sanjay Kalra is an endocrinologist with two and a half decades of experience. Practicing at Karnal, India, he travels the world to teach, learn and share. Dr. David C. Klonoff is an endocrinologist specializing in the development and use of diabetes technology. He is Medical Director of the Dorothy L. and James E. Frank Diabetes Research Institute of Mills-Peninsula Medical Center in San Mateo, California and a Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCSF. He is the founding Editor of the Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology. Dr. Klonoff received the American Diabetes Association's 2019 Outstanding Physician Clinician Award. He received an FDA Director's Special Citation Award in 2010 for outstanding contributions related to diabetes technology. He received the IEEE Standards Association Conformity Assessment Award in 2022. Dr. Klonoff has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh), and a Fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE). He received the 2012 Gold Medal Oration and Distinguished Scientist Award from the Dr. Mohan's Diabetes Specialities Centre and Madras Diabetes Research Foundation of Chennai, India. Dr. Ida Ayu Kshanti is a Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist in Jakarta, Indonesia, currently is the Chairman of The Indonesian Diabetes Educator Association (IDEA). She graduated with a medical degree and Internal Medicine Specialist from the Medical Faculty, Gajah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and completed her education as an Endocrinologist from Medical Faculty, University of Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia. Dr. Ida Ayu Kshanti is a member of the Indonesian Society of Endocrinology. The last 16 years working in the field of endocrinology, especially in diabetes management, encompassed an overall and comprehensive management in diabetes including diabetes education outpatient and in patient clinic and diabetes foot clinic as well as teaching medical students and internal medicine residents. As her passion, she has dedicated 28 years to the IDEA. She has recently been elected as member of the Indonesian Medical College Council (MKKI) serving in the Accreditation and Certification Field. Professor Yiming Li is a Standing Committee Member of the Chinese Diabetes Society (CDS). Head of the CDS Diabetic Neuropathy Group. Julia Mader is Full Professor of Diabetes Technology at Medical University of Graz and Deputy Head of the Diabetes Outpatient Clinic. She graduated at Medical University of Graz where she also trained in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. She was Visiting Professor at the University Hospital of Bern, Switzerland (2016-2017). She leads the Diabetes Technology Research Unit at Medical University of Graz.

Her research focuses on diabetes technology (insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitoring, automated insulin delivery system, diabetes management in the hospital and decision support systems). She has published over 190 peer-reviewed scientific papers. She has received several national and international awards. She is honorary secretary and board member of the Austrian Diabetes Society and is executive board member of the EASD and chairs EASD's Training and Education Committee.

Dr. Vasquez is a Board-Certified Family Physician with a special interest in chronic diseases and skin disorders. He practices in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. As a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia College of Medicine, he mentors both undergraduate and postgraduate learners. He is an Executive Board Member of the Vancouver Division of Family Practice and a member of the Embecta Canada Advisory Board. He has been invited to sit on a number of industry advisory boards at both the local and national level for Primary Care insights when new and novel molecules are launched in Canada.

Professor Yong Mong Bee is an endocrinologist with over 20 years of experience. He is the Head and Senior Consultant of the Department of Endocrinology at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH). He also holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore, and Director of the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at SGH.

Prof. Bee's clinical focus is primarily on the management of diabetes mellitus and prevention of cardiovascular-kidney complications. He leads research programs aimed at diabetes prevention, risk prediction for diabetic complications, and leveraging artificial intelligence in diabetes care. He was instrumental in establishing the SingHealth Diabetes Registry (SDR), a comprehensive multi-institutional database derived from the SingHealth Electronic Medical Record system. He was the Principal Investigator of the A*STAR-funded Diabetes Clinic of the Future (DCOF) program, which aimed to develop solutions using big data analytics and digital technology to personalize care and improve outcomes among the multi-ethnic diabetes population in Singapore.

In addition to his roles at SGH, Prof. Bee is the President of Diabetes Singapore, the sole registered charitable organization in Singapore devoted exclusively to the fight against diabetes.

Dr. Julia Blanchette is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. She is also a Nurse Scientist in the Division of Endocrinology, and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management at the University Hospitals Diabetes & Metabolic Care Center. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing in 2014 and her PhD in Nursing Science in 2019, earning both at Case Western Reserve University. Dr Blanchette was the inaugural Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES) and the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE) Post-Doctoral Fellow in Integrated Diabetes Management and trained at the University of Utah College of Nursing. She received the national Rising Diabetes Star Award from ADCES in 2019 and became a fellow of ADCES (FADCES) in 2025. She received the 2024 Behavioral Medicine and Psychology Early Career Award from the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and is on the editorial board for ADA's interdisciplinary healthcare journal, Diabetes, Obesity and Cardiometabolic CARE.

Dr. Blanchette is recognized for integrating community-engaged research, behavioral science, and lived experience to develop practical, patient-centered approaches to diabetes education and support. She is the Principal Investigator of the iHERO Study, a national RCT testing a financial and health insurance literacy intervention designed in partnership with the type 1 diabetes community and The Diabetes Link, funded by the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust. Clinically, her work focuses on improving diabetes self-management outcomes among young adults with type 1 diabetes and during life transitions, and she is a diabetes technology expert.

Dr. Persis Commissariat is a licensed clinical psychologist and certified diabetes care and education specialist in the Joslin Diabetes Center’s Pediatric, Adolescent, and Young Adult Section as well as an Assistant Investigator in the Section on Clinical, Behavioral, & Outcomes Research. She is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Commissariat provides individual and family therapy to children, teens, and young adults with diabetes at Joslin, with special interests in adjustment to new diabetes diagnosis, coping skills, diabetes burnout, and treatment adherence challenges. Her research focuses on illness identity, diabetes technologies, qualitative methods, and behavior change. She is the Principal Investigator on a grant from the National Institutes of Health studying ways to improve diabetes technology engagement and health outcomes by promoting positive diabetes identities. Dr. Commissariat currently serves on leadership teams for the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Mental Health Advisory Group and the ADA Youth Strategies Committee. She previously served as an Advisor for the ADA Behavioral Medicine and Psychology Interest Group.

Dr. Gabbay is a Professor at Federal University of São Paulo, with a Postdoctoral degree in Clinical Endocrinology from the same institution. She is a coordinator of Diabetes Technology at the Diabetes Center at UNIFESP with more than 30 years of experience in Type 1 diabetes, and also a coordinator of Type 1 Diabetes of Youth at the Brazilian Diabetes Society. She is the Principal Investigator at IBTED and the Educational Director of G7Med.

Dr. Daphne Gardner graduated from Oxford University (UK) [BA (Physiological Sciences), BMBCh (Oxon)] and was a clinical lecturer in Plymouth (UK) before attaining specialist accreditation in Endocrinology in Singapore. Her fellowship year was spent in the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, UK. She now serves as a Senior Consultant Endocrinologist and lead clinician for Young Adults with Diabetes, Monogenic diabetes and the Intensive Insulin programme (including pumps and CGM) in Singapore General Hospital. She is an Adjunct Associate Professor with Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and Director of Education in the SingHealth-Duke Disease Centre for Diabetes. She has held 2 grants aimed at stratifying diabetes to direct personalised therapy, and a Ministry of Health (Singapore) grant in the use of flash glucose monitoring to enhance diabetes education in type 2 diabetes. She currently runs the Diabetes in Asians at Risk in Youth (DIARY), a study that aims to develop novel risk tools to detect those at highest risk of Asian young onset diabetes.

Dr. Maahs is the Lucile Salter Packard Professor of Pediatrics at Stanford University where he is the Division Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology, Associate Chair for Academic Affairs in Pediatrics and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the School of Medicine. He is the Associate Director of the Stanford Diabetes Research Center and Past-President of the International Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) and has served as Editor-in-Chief of the ISPAD Guidelines and on the ADA Professional Practice Committee.

Margaret Pellizzari, known to most as Peggy, is the Diabetes Program Manager for Pediatric Endocrinology at Cohen Children's Medical Center (CCMC), part of Northwell Health. Ms. Pellizzari coordinates diabetes care for the children, both inpatient and outpatient. She is the Past LI Advocacy Chair for the American Diabetes Association, teaching classes for families and professionals to ensure diabetes safety and wellness in the community. Ms. Pellizzari has participated as a research investigator for several diabetes studies. Peggy has served as the President of the Metropolitan NY Chapter of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists and the New York State Chair for the Association of Diabetes Education and Care Specialists. Ms. Pellizzari has published and co-authored several articles and abstracts presented at national conferences. Peggy serves in several leadership positions within Northwell Health. She is a board member of NYS ADCES and serves as a volunteer for the ADA Safe at School Working Group, Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes, and the DRIF. On a personal level, Peggy has been living well with type 1 diabetes for over 48 years. Her passion is helping children, their families, and all individuals with diabetes live healthy and happy lives while managing diabetes. Her passions include gardening, bike riding, going to the beach, and belly dancing.

Dr. Jannet Svensson is at pediatric professor and diabetologist from Copenhagen, Denmark. She is team leader of the Pediatric and Technology research group at Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen (SDCC) and chief physician in the pediatric and adolescent clinic at SDCC. She has special interest in diabetes technology, skin problems due to diabetes devices, sleep and exercise.

She is a member of the steering committee for the Danish Diabetes Database (DDiD), which encompasses all age groups and types of diabetes in Denmark. In 2008, she collaborated with Nordic colleagues to initiate NordicDiabKids, a successful joint effort among Nordic childhood diabetes registries. Currently, she is responsible for collecting incidence data for Eurodiab, member of SWEET advisory board and secretary general in the ISPAD executive board. Her extensive research portfolio includes the publication of over 150 papers, and her academic profiles can be found on ORCID (0000-0002-9365-0728) and Web of Science (AAI-9913-2021).

Caterina Conte, MD, Ph, is a Full Professor of Internal Medicine at San Raffaele Roma University in Rome and Head of the Obesity and Obesity-related Cardiometabolic Complications Research Unit and Obesity Clinic at IRCCS MultiMedica in Milan, Italy. She received her MD from Sapienza University of Rome, completed her residency in Internal Medicine in 2012, and earned a PhD in Experimental Endocrine and Endocrine-Surgical Sciences from the Catholic University of Rome in 2016. Her training includes a research fellowship at the Center for Human Nutrition, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.

Her work focuses on integrating clinical care and research to address obesity and its cardiometabolic complications, including type 2 diabetes and sarcopenic obesity. She is actively involved in national and international scientific societies, including the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD), the European Federation of Internal Medicine, the Italian Society of Internal Medicine, and the Italian Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery for Obesity. She contributes to academic education as a member of the EASD Training and Education Committee and as a member of the Executive Board of the Italian College of Academic Internal Medicine, with a focus on improving teaching, research, and clinical practice in Internal Medicine. She has published extensively in the field of obesity and metabolism and is a strong advocate for the recognition of obesity as a disease and for comprehensive strategies for its prevention and treatment.

Dr. Lutz Heinemann studied Process Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences, Düsseldorf, Germany, receiving his degree in 1976, and went on to study Biology at the University of Düsseldorf, qualifying as a Biologist in 1982. He worked 3 years as Assistant Professor in the Neurophysiology Department at Düsseldorf University. He went on to work with Professor M. Berger at the Clinic for Nutrition and Metabolism from 1985 to 1999. In 1999, he founded the Profil Institut für Stoffwechselforschung in Neuss, Germany. He was the CEO until 2009.

He is a member of national and international diabetes associations. He also sits on the Scientific Advisory Boards of various pharmaceutical and diagnostics companies. From 2011 until 2024 he was the Managing Editor of the Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology. His scientific research is focused on insulin pharmacology and diabetes technology. Between 2010 and 2015, he acted as coordinator for the EU-funded project AP@home.

Dr. Akshay Jain is the first Canadian physician to be triple board-certified by the American Boards in Endocrinology, Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine.

He trained in Internal Medicine at Rochester, NY where he became the only 4-time winner of the prestigious Rochester Academy of Medicine Awards. He completed his Fellowship in Endocrinology at Harbor UCLA/City of Hope in Los Angeles, CA.

He is the only non-American physician to win the AACE Rising Star in Endocrinology Award (2022) and to feature on Medscape's list of 25 Top Rising Stars of Medicine (2020). He is the first North American to win the prestigious Etzwiler Diabetes Scholarship at the International Diabetes Center and Mayo Clinic in MN, USA.

He is a renowned educator and has spoken at over 1000 medical conferences/events across the world till date. He is a question-writer for the American Board of Obesity Medicine exams as well as for the Endocrine Society Self-Assessment Program (ESAP). He is a co-author of the 2023 Diabetes Canada Guidelines chapter on Mental Health and Diabetes. He is also the co-chair of the Obesity Update and Diabetes Update conferences.

Dr. Sanjay Kalra trained at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. Dr. Sanjay Kalra is an endocrinologist with two and a half decades of experience. Practicing at Karnal, India, he travels the world to teach, learn and share. As Past President of the South Asian Federation of Endocrine Societies (SAFES), Endocrine Society of India (ESI) and Indian Professional Association for Transgender Health (IPATH), he works to improve endocrine awareness and health across the globe. He continues these efforts in his current responsibility as Treasurer, International Society of Endocrinology (ISE), and Vice President, South Asian Obesity Forum.

Dr. David C. Klonoff is an endocrinologist specializing in the development and use of diabetes technology. He is Medical Director of the Dorothy L. and James E. Frank Diabetes Research Institute of Mills-Peninsula Medical Center in San Mateo, California and a Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCSF. He is the founding Editor of the Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology. Dr. Klonoff received the American Diabetes Association's 2019 Outstanding Physician Clinician Award. He received an FDA Director's Special Citation Award in 2010 for outstanding contributions related to diabetes technology. He received the IEEE Standards Association Conformity Assessment Award in 2022. Dr. Klonoff has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh), and a Fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE). He received the 2012 Gold Medal Oration and Distinguished Scientist Award from the Dr. Mohan's Diabetes Specialities Centre and Madras Diabetes Research Foundation of Chennai, India. Dr. Klonoff is a graduate of UC Berkeley, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa in his junior year, and UCSF Medical School, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha in his junior year. His postgraduate training in internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship included two years at UCLA Hospital and three years at UCSF Hospitals. He chaired the SC award-winning IEEE 2621 Standards for Wireless Diabetes Device Security Assurance Committee, and he chaired DTSec and DTMoSt, the world's 1st and 2nd consensus medical device cybersecurity standards.

Dr. Xiaomu Li is a Professor and Chief Physician specializing in endocrinology and metabolic diseases. She currently serves as Deputy Director of the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolic Disease at The First Affiliated Hospital, College of Medicine, Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China. Her clinical and research expertise focuses on pancreatic beta cell physiology, diabetes pathophysiology, and the metabolic mechanisms underlying insulin secretion and beta cell dysfunction. Dr. Li has held several leadership roles, including Vice Chair of the Shanghai Diabetes Society and the Youth Committee of the Chinese Diabetes Society. Dr. Li has authored numerous publications surrounding mitochondrial metabolism, beta cell senescence, and diabetes associated with pancreatic disease.

Julia Mader is Full Professor of Diabetes Technology at Medical University of Graz and Deputy Head of the Diabetes Outpatient Clinic. She graduated at Medical University of Graz where she also trained in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. She was Visiting Professor at the University Hospital of Bern, Switzerland (2016-2017). She leads the Diabetes Technology Research Unit at Medical University of Graz.

Her research focuses on diabetes technology (insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitoring, automated insulin delivery system, diabetes management in the hospital and decision support systems). She has published over 190 peer-reviewed scientific papers. She has received several national and international awards. She is honorary secretary and board member of the Austrian Diabetes Society and is executive board member of the EASD and chairs EASD's Training and Education Committee.

Dr. Eden Miller, an Osteopathic board-certified Family Practitioner, received her medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1997. Returning to the Northwest, she completed her residency in Family Practice at East Moreland Hospital in Portland, Oregon. After recently completing her certification in Obesity management, she founded Diabetes Nation, a nonprofit organization, and became CEO of Diabetes and Obesity Care LLC where she practices with her husband Dr. Kevin Miller in Bend.

Dr. Miller has cultivated a special interest in diabetes, after contracting type-1 diabetes while in medical school. Out of that personal experience, her practice has extended into a subspecialty in diabetes care. An impassioned speaker, Dr. Miller has given over 1250 lectures in the field of Diabetes to health care providers and patients alike, on subjects such as Diabetes Management, CGM Technology, Insulin Pump Therapy, Obesity and Metabolism intervention, Clinical Research, and Healthcare Policy. Her adage for care is that she “only succeeds as a provider if she turns patients into experts on their own disease”.

Dr. Miller believes that a “physiologic patient individualized approach to diabetes intervention is crucial to success. She feels if our nation is to triumph over the ravages of diabetes, a collaborative effort; unhindered by fear of personal scrutiny, and barriers for effective treatment need to be removed”.

André Gustavo Daher Vianna, MD, PhD, is a board-certified endocrinologist with extensive clinical, academic, and research experience in diabetes and metabolic diseases. He earned his medical degree from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Brazil, followed by residency training in Internal Medicine at HC-UFPR and specialization in Endocrinology at Hospital Brigadeiro (SUS-SP). He holds a PhD in Health Sciences from PUC-PR.

Dr. Vianna is currently Vice-President of the Brazilian Diabetes Society (2026–2027) and has previously held several leadership roles within the Society. He is an active contributor to national initiatives in digital health and novel diabetes therapies.

He serves as Executive Director and Clinical Researcher at the Curitiba Diabetes Center, where he also coordinates the New Technologies Unit, focusing on innovations in diabetes care, continuous glucose monitoring, and insulin delivery systems. He is also a preceptor in the Endocrinology specialization program at Hospital Nossa Senhora das Graças.

Dr. Vianna has authored and co-authored multiple scientific publications in the fields of insulin therapy, type 2 diabetes management, and diabetes technologies. He is a frequent speaker and consultant on emerging treatments and technologies for diabetes, obesity, and endocrine disorders, and an active member of international scientific societies.
